Special cleaning
Aluminium & steel parts cleaning
Of course, we apply the highest standards in the cleaning of engines. All reconditioned
engine parts that leave our factory are not only in perfect technical condition,
but are of such high quality that they cannot be distinguished from new parts.
To meet this standard, parts frequently undergo multiple stages of cleaning
and treatment.
In the first stage of cleaning, recovered parts deemed suitable are passed through
our industrial washing system, where dirt and oil is removed. Any parts which
still have residual contamination or require special treatment subsequently
pass through the following special cleaning stages.
Cleaning of aluminium parts
Even externally discoloured aluminium engine housings leave our factory in such a good condition that they cannot be distinguished as reconditioned parts. For the special cleaning of aluminium parts, Mack GmbH has developed a unique method which ensures complete cleaning of discoloured parts. We restore used cast aluminium engine components to a glossy condition closely resembling the original, without blasting and without damaging sensitive plane surfaces.
Cleaning of steel parts
In the cleaning of corroded steel and cast parts, we also take ground-breaking
new approaches. The multi-stage processes we have developed use entirely new
pickling-based cleaning methods and produce outstanding results. Innovative
product developments enable our workers to operate machines without direct contact
with pickling medium. Our systems run fully automatically and feature state-of-the-art
control technology. For the cleaning of engine attachments, we use various blasting
methods tailored to the specific characteristics of each individual part.
Cleaned engine parts are subject to strict quality controls. These continuous
quality controls ensure that the as-delivered quality of our reconditioned parts
is similar to that of new parts. Only parts which meet all agreed criteria are
sent directly to the customer.
In addition to our responsibility to our customers, we also take seriously our
responsibility to our employees and the environment. All waste water is treated
at our in-plant process water treatment facility. With the exception of the
household type sewage from the sanitary areas, no untreated effluent leaves
our facility. We use no chemicals which could be harmful to our employees. For
this reason, neither the employers' liability insurance association nor the
GAA have mandated the use of air extraction systems at our facility.
